Water Main Break

3/26/2025 2:00am -- Water restored to all campus buildings. PWSA work expected to continue at O'Hara and De Soto Street until 3am. 

3/25/2025 11:31pm -- Be advised that David Lawrence Hall is an alternate site for restrooms. 

3/25/2025 10:12pm -- Dorms without water- Litchfield Towers A, B ,C, and Amos. Holland is experiencing low water pressure. List will be updated. 

3/25/2025 9:58pm -- There is a water main break on O'Hara Street which is affecting central Oakland. PWSA is on scene. Several dorms do not have water and some are experiencing low water pressure. An estimated time to have water restored is 11:00pm.

Update on Ongoing Sudiksha Konanki Investigation

The University of Pittsburgh Police Department continues to partner with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. State Department, FBI, HSI, DEA, and local Dominican Republic authorities on the ongoing search in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for Sudiksha Konanki.

This remains an active investigation and communications with other law enforcement are ongoing. We affirm our continued support of Sudiksha’s family and friends during this trying time. 

Additionally, we would like to encourage the Pitt community to be cautious about drawing conclusions from speculations circulating on the internet and to remind everyone of the community care resources that are available for Pitt students, staff and faculty: students can contact the University Counseling Center at 412-648-7930, and faculty and staff can reach LifeSolutions at 1-866-647-3432.

Finally, we remain vigilant in our search for Sudiksha and hopeful for her safe return. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office at 703-777-1021 and Pitt Police at 412-624-2121.

Update on Sudiksha Konanki Investigation

Since Sudiksha Konanki’s reported disappearance, the University of Pittsburgh Police Department has been actively working with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and the following agencies in their investigation to find and bring her home safely: U.S. State Department, FBI, HSI, DEA, and the local Dominican Republic authorities. 

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office at 703-777-1021 and Pitt Police at 412-624-2121. 

Community care resources are available for the Pitt community seeking support, including LifeSolutions for faculty and staff at 1-866-647-3432 and the University Counseling Center for students at 412-648-7930.

BRT construction to impact Pitt's Schenley Shuttle Stop

The City of Pittsburgh has informed the University that there will be significant construction on Forbes Avenue between Schenley Drive and Schenley Drive Extension to support the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project – also known as the University Line. Construction begins on Monday, March 3 through the remainder of the semester. 

Due to the construction, the shuttle stop currently located on Forbes Avenue in front of Schenley Plaza will be relocated to Schenley Drive between the Hillman construction site and Roberto Clemente Drive. The shuttle routes impacted are 10B, 25A, 20A, and the 30C
